Prostitution in Covid’s time

See who is excluded. “In covid times” means that, as in any extreme situation, everything comes to light. In this state of emergency, where every corner is tightly controlled and distance is the required physical and emotional rule, I wondered what was happening in the hidden life. In this invasion of the private, I realised that no one was talking about prostitution. And I wondered what was happening in that area of life. For example, how are prostitutes living? Do they continue to work? And how is all this demand for control and protection being handled? Everybody knows everything and everybody talks about everything, nobody talks about prostitution. Why? I shared this thought with Rossella Bianchi (President of the association Princessa, writer, escort) who kindly lent herself to answer me. I had previously had just a fleeting meeting with Rossella. This occasion gave me the opportunity to get to know an incredible person, intellectually alive, with a tireless spirit of research, who enriched my awareness of the depth of human nature. A person among people who exist but keep themselves hidden.
